Chess drunk grandmaster:
Chess is a game requiring time, commitment, thoughtfulness, patience and pre planning. If you take
the game casually and move improperly you will surely lose the battle. While playing the game it is very
important to be fresh and in perfect mood so as to play properly. A bad mood with frustration and a weak
intention to play lead you towards wrong moves losing the game ultimately.
There are quite a few players in the history of chess that have lost the game just because of
their non-serious attitude, one of which is Grandmaster Vladislav Tkachiev. He was born in Russia
and played as a Frenchman. He also lived a part of his life in Kazakhstan therefore also called as
French-Russian-Kazakhstani. He was born in November 1973 and learned playing chess in
1983. He won Kazakhstani Youth Championship in 1985 and Chess Olympiad in 1992.
He was titled as grandmaster in 1996. He has another title of international master which was
awarded to him in 1993. He also won European Individual Chess Championship in 2007. He has victories in his life
but then he has said goodbye to the victories by himself due to his non-serious attitude. He come drunk at the
match tables and fell asleep during the match losing the battle on technical grounds. Same thing happened to him
in September 2009.
While playing grandmaster chess match in India in September 2009, after just playing 11 moves he
got asleep and despite many efforts of the people to wake him up he didn't showed up. This gave him the
unofficial title of Chess drunk grandmaster. Having 58th rank all over the
world as a chess player he has raised many controversies against himself due to his drunken attitude.
One must understand that chess is a game of confidence and commitment therefore attitude towards game really matters for winning. One must have the winnersÕ
attitude and should play with pre-planning and proper strategy without leaving any loopholes. Sometimes our own
attitude leads us to lose the game so avoid holding such attitude so as to avoid facing the consequences like
