Pasadena chess club:
Pasadena chess club is named after great chess tournaments which were held in Pasadena
California in August 1932 which includes the participation of the great champion of that era Alexander Alekhine. Alex Taylor who served Pasadena for many times as director of the tournament was the active chess
promoter throughout his life and his name will always come on the top because of his services to the chess
tournaments. He directed local tournaments and he was one who helped build the Southern California Chess
League in 1970 and titled as the Hall of Fame. He died after enjoying his full life at the age of
94.
Playing in this club has always been a dream of chess players that is why you can see a lot of
crowd playing chess in this club. Pasadena chess club is equipped with all the modern facilities to make
the play easy and comfortable. Moreover if you are a beginner you can have the opportunity to learn a lot by
looking at the matches between experts. So it is good both ways playing as well as learning.There is also a membership fee charged from junior as well as senior
players.
Pasadena club is situated on the south of Del Mar
which meets in the point of Elmer as well as Teen Slavik Memorial Building near the boys and girls club (where
you can park your car without a charge on rush hours if Pasadena’s parking is full). When you reach at Pasadena
you will have a large car parking facility but due to the heavy customer load you won’t be able to park your car
on Fridays and on special occasions. This club doesn’t charge the parking fee so you can stay as long as you
want after 6:00pm. The timing of this club is from 6:45 pm to 11:00 pm and the game starts at 7:00 pm sharp so
you have to move in before 7:00pm. The clubs remains closed on holidays and some other days as well so before
